See My Vest (And Pants)

It's official. I'm in love with my sewing machine.

I've spent many an hour this week with my pedal underfoot and the fabric whipping through my fingers. It's been such a rewarding experience.

These three items were all made with my best friend's son in mind, but soon I promise to share some of Gretchen new pieces.

...

PS. If any of you are sewers at heart, I'd love your advice, links to fun patterns or any DIYs you may have blogged about in the past! Merci!

very cute! for stuffies, i like the patterns from etsy seller bitofwhimsyprims. i also just bought a book called one yard wonders, and they have tons of simple (and quick!) projects.

I'm hoping to get a sewing machine for my birthday, or maybe mothers day. I really want to be able to sew clothes for my kids. And since we've got the new baby on the way, burp cloths, hahaha.

Everything that you've made looks cute so far! I bet you feel so proud :)

Ooooh love these too & this is my first time seeing the pants! Love the pants w/ the same fabric as the liner in the vest! What a cute outfit! You are really doing well!

Hi, would you ever make these vests and jackets in bigger sizes (4-5 year olds) and sell them on Etsy? Thank you from New Zealand. They are just so adorable.

Donna -- I have definitely considered selling the items on Etsy and am currently working on getting enough stock to do so!
Please let me know what you would be interested in and I'm sure I could accommodate! :)
