There's A Fawn On My Coffee Table, Part Two

I'm so glad that when I first spotted her daring act, I just happened to have a camera nearby:

These days she seems to prefer the table to any other seat in the house.

It's also so cute that sometimes I don't stop her. Definitely an accident waiting to happen.

Christina said...: Awww ... so sweet! And it's great that you are letting your daughter explore! Sometimes we get so wrapped up in keeping accidents from happening that we restrict our kids from learning about life ... and bumps ... and falls. It drives me insane that several of my neighbors don't let their kids play with sticks. STICKS. My son loves walking around with a stick in his hand. He knows to not hit anyone or anything. He just likes the STICK. And when his friends try to copy him, their moms go insane. What in the world is going to happen??? WITH A STICK? If they fall, the stick will break! They will not be hurt other than possibly a scratch knee or elbow. Sigh ... whatever. :o)

I'm of a school of thought which believes kids will be kids -- at some point they WILL get hurt, but you can't stand in their way and take away any opportunity which may pose a potential threat.
