And So My Gardening Adventure Begins

On Sunday I put this little strawberry plant into the ground & after this weekend I hope to add some more. I can't wait to teach Gretchen how to pluck the ripe, red berries once they arrive.

This week's plan: build my raised beds, fill with fabulous compost & soil, plant my veggies, cross my fingers.

I've never had my own garden before, but I have high hopes & a willingness to learn! If there are any gurus in the crowd, please share your sage wisdom with this mama!

Zi said...: I'm no guru or gardening master, but we live in Ptbo too and have had great success with tomatoes, peppers, carrots, cucumbers, beans, peas, sunflowers and rhubarb. Our back yard gets a lot of afternoon sun, so plant in a sunny spot and water in the evenings when necessary. :)

We plan to get a berry bush or two later on this year. We might not get much fruit this year, but hopefully next year will be successful!
