Reading Nook Love

While working on some Spring Cleaning upstairs last week, I pulled Gretchen's old bassinet down out of our closet. Moments later, I found her sitting in it, surrounded by books. And so, the idea for her new reading nook was born.

I added a few blankets (one made by me, one made by the boy's ma) to the mix and pushed it closer to her bookshelf. A perfect little corner for my tiny book lover.

I've always been inspired by other reading nooks that I've spotted online (like this one, and this one) and I'm thrilled that Gretchen finally has her own wonderful little spot. I can remember finding all sorts of places to cozy up with book when I was little... under the desk in our living room, in my treehouse, by the fireplace, in the forest, on the floor beside our biggest bookcase... so many memories. My childhood was books and reading and all those adventures within. I think Gretchen is well on her way to becoming a book-devourer like her mama.
