Day 13: Something I'm Proud Of

I've been thinking about this post for a really long time and I've realized that what I'm most proud of, is my chosen family... my friends, my heart-mates. They are absolutely terrific people and I am so proud of who they are, and all they've accomplished.

I have friends who are working on their MAs and PhDs and teachers college. They are moms who are raising phenomenal children. They are brilliant partners, they are supportive. They are nurses who work long hours, they work five jobs to make ends meet, they drink copious amounts of coffee (and wine), they know exactly what I'm thinking.

They are musicians and artists and chefs and business owners.

They send me emails when I'm down, they hold me up, they know they're on my mind. They are strong, they are fighters, they are creative and inspiring and humbling. They are a part of me, they love my daughter, they know I've got their backs and I know they've got mine.

They are fighting depression, they are taking control, they are beautiful, they are brave. And I love them.
