Because Every Little Bit Helps

All this week I've been trying to think about what I can do to support the earthquake relief effort in Haiti. Several days ago I made a small donation to our local Red Cross, but I feel absolutely compelled to do more. I feel it in my heart.

Inspired by the always fabulous OhMommy of Classy Chaos fame, I ask all of you lovely readers to say hello, leave a comment, delurk & introduce yourselves:

I will donate $1 per person/comment (cap at 100) to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the Haitian quake relief effort. I will also do my very best to find a local business to match this donation.

Thank you all so much for your support -- every little bit helps.

Note: I shall leave this post up til Jan 25th before making my dontation -- thank you for the comments! Keep spreading the word!

...

Update: Thank you to everyone who commented in support of Haiti! I have decided to DOUBLE the comments and will be donating not $46, but $92 to the Canadian Red Cross. Merci & much love.

Dear Desiree, it's so so kind of you. I've been reading your blog since you were still pregnant with Gretchen. I enjoy reading your little space here, each post of yours is beautiful and with so much love. The internet provide such essential platform for people from different parts of the world to connect, how amazing. ^_^ Thanks for sharing! It's really good to contribute, little bits of efforts count, really. Not only in terms of donation, but the positive thoughts, the silent prayers counts too.

Hi there. I went to Trent the same time you did but we don't know each other. I was interested in your blog and have been lurking ever since. You should be proud of yourself for doing this, and I decided I will also make a contribution to a charity. Every little bit helps - very true.
