Everything's Better When The Babes Are Together

A couple nights ago, the little fawn and I spent an evening with friends -- eating delicious curry, savouring homemade red wine & enjoying the interactions between 17-month-olds and 13-month-olds.


There's nothing like getting the babes together. The age gap between Gretchen & Ezra is quickly shrinking.


He took her hand all on his own.



Babes in arms! Maybe I do want a second, haha.


This photo basically sums up mamahood. Do you see Mister Ezra heading for the goods? Babies tend to treat me like a buffet.



The next day we took our slingbabes out for a walk. Do you like their new hats? My newest endeavour -- more to come.

Thank goodness for beautiful friends, chosen families & the warmth that comes from deep in your chest.

Because Lattes Fuel Sanity

This morning my good friend Elena & I took a trip to Chappies & Starbucks for two lattes & some much anticipated mama socialization time.

It was EXACTLY what we needed.

The babes loved it too -- and it must have tuckered them out as they were both napping as we pulled into my driveway.


Adorable.


They're betrothed, you know.


We're already working on her dowry.

Love Pats

I absolutely love it when my friends and our babes are all together.


May 10th, 2009 -- There's just something about Gretchen's head that delights Ezra so. My little babe looks a little less enthused, but I promise you, it's all in good faith.


April 2nd, 2009 -- Pat, pat, pat.

This evening Gretchen & I got to see Ezra & his mama at our local La Leche League meeting. I swear Gretchen recognized him from across the room -- her eyes locked.

It must be love.

Mes Amis Et Les Bebes

About a week or so ago the girls & I took the babies to Chappies (aka Chapters) and to Starbucks. I love having the babes together & it's so nice to have some grownup time as well.


Elena & I with Ezra & Gretchen. These babies are totally betrothed.

We start them young up here.


The look on Ezra's face is excellent.

The two babes are less than six months apart. I love knowing that our little ones will grow up together & be so close in age. They are already fascinated with each other & I can't wait til they are old enough to run around together. Oh my goodness.

Hmmm, I wonder how long we can get away with dressing them to match?
